Devlog (2024-09-19 to 2024-09-25)


  • Extended map with new river sections and an estuary that opens to a wider body of water
  • Replaced linear stream force with spline curves on river that push fish in opposite direction of river travel
  • Added camera control with Cinemachine package to allow free look and better visibility
  • Fixed bug where game thinks fish is out of water in between river sections
  • Implemented car control scheme for fish
  • Experimented with gravity and jumping to make movement feel better
  • Removed previous buoyancy mechanics and replaced with a velocity dampening coefficient when the fish hits the water, which allows us to control where the fish is positioned vertically in the water
